Orydar - Culinary Experience Booking Mobile App

The primary challenge was to create a robust, scalable mobile application that could seamlessly integrate with an existing WordPress database and replicate complex booking and ordering logic present in WordPress plugins. This required designing a custom API that could efficiently manage diverse datasets while ensuring compatibility and security with the legacy system, all while delivering a smooth user experience akin to leading marketplace platforms.

I engineered the mobile application using React Native for a cross-platform presence and built a custom REST API in Node.js. This API was specifically designed to interface with the existing WordPress database, managing critical data points such as user profiles, host information, menu details, and intricate reservation and ordering systems. I integrated Stripe for secure payment processing and implemented JWT tokens for robust authentication. Additionally, advanced routines were developed for image optimization and multi-format storage, ensuring full compatibility with WordPress media specifications and optimal performance.

Successfully delivered a fully functional, secure, and integrated mobile application that extends the Orydar platform's reach into the mobile space. The custom API and React Native app provided a modern, intuitive user interface for booking culinary experiences, managing orders, and processing payments. The solution ensured data consistency and operational continuity with the existing WordPress system, providing a scalable foundation for future enhancements and a seamless experience for both hosts and guests in the culinary marketplace.
