Traditional music practice can often feel isolated, repetitive, and lack immediate feedback, making it challenging for students to accurately assess their progress and stay motivated. For wind instruments, specifically, achieving precise pitch and rhythm without an instructor can be particularly difficult. The core challenge was to develop a digital platform that could provide real-time, objective feedback, make practice engaging through gamification, and integrate seamlessly with both acoustic and specialized electronic instruments to offer a comprehensive and effective learning solution.

To address these challenges, we engineered Odisei Play as a cross-platform mobile and web application using React Native. The solution involved developing a sophisticated real-time audio analysis engine capable of providing instant AI-driven feedback on pitch, timing, and rhythm. A highly performant and visually rich user interface was created, leveraging React Native Skia and Reanimated for smooth animations and graphics, presenting a gamified learning experience with scrolling musical notation. Furthermore, the application was designed for deep hardware integration, optimizing performance for Odisei Music's Travel Sax 2 via Bluetooth, ensuring a zero-latency, silent practice environment. Uniwind was utilized to streamline the styling and responsive design across various devices, bringing this ambitious vision to life with a strong focus on user experience and technical robustness.
